Call to NdisIMInitializeDeviceInstanceEx is success, but I've never seen call to my MiniportInitialize. Iam invokking NdisIMInitializeDeviceInstanceEx from my Filter-Attach, to trigger NDIS to call MiniportInitialize for my virtual-Miniport adapter. My FilterAttach is getting called for a physical-adapter found in the system. OS: Windows 7 NDIS ver: NDIS 6.x WDK: 7600.16385.0 I have included registration of both Miniport-Driver (virtual) and Filter-Driver in Driver-Entry. I want to include a Virtual-Miniport interface also along with Filter-Driver. This means that, using the Microsoft Virtual WiFi Mini Port Adapter, you can turn the physical network adapter that their computer has into two virtual network adapters. It has a Filter-Driver interface with NDIS in regular path. The Virtual WiFi Adapter is designed to basically virtualize the physical network adapter that every computer has.
This looks like a IM-driver but, instead it won't have lower-edge protocol-driver. I was able to get my network drivers functional again but the FortiClient VPN would not allow me to see anything on the remote network.
